Chanukah Party

The annual Chanukah Party is again at the historic Community House in Chautauqua Park. Featuring latkes, a chocolate fountain, and lots of schmoozing.

When:

Monday December 22, 2008 (Second Night)
6:00 pm

Candle lighting will be at 6:30 pm

Who:

At 6:30, we will light the menorah and sing songs, which all ages will enjoy. Menorah lighting and singing will be led by Rabbi Korngold.

Families are encouraged to come to the early part of this event. The rest of the evening will be more geared to adults.

Where: Community House, in Chautauqua Park (Directions)
Bring:

If your last name begins with A-E, please bring a main dish that serves (4-8). For example, you could bring a casserole, pasta salad, bagels & cream cheese, or a pre-made rotisserie chicken from the grocery store.

If your last name begins with F-L, please bring a dessert.

If your last name begins with M-R, please bring non-alcoholic drinks.

If your last name begins with S-Z, please bring a side dish. For example, you could bring a keugel, cous-cous, or a green salad.

Or, if you just have a favorite dish or latkes that you want to share with the community, bring it along. If you have any questions, contact Jeanette

Please bring your own serving utensil and remember to pick it and your serving dish up before you leave.

We will by buying latkes from Jimmy and Drew's deli with all the fixings and providing the chocolate fountain.

Please bring your own plate, cup and cutlery so we use less plastic/ paper products.

Under 6: free


This event costs $1100 to run. You donation above $10 will help defray our costs for facility rental, zero-waste supplies, latkes and other food, insurance, decorations and staff costs.

 Directions from Denver (about 35 minutes):
1.

Take I 25 North, merge left onto US 36 West (to Boulder)

2. Exit US 36 at Baseline exit.
3.

Turn left on Baseline and go West (toward mountains, street will start to go uphill).

4.

Turn left onto Grant at Chautauqua Park, Ranger Station will be straight ahead.

5. Drive south on Kinnikinnic to Morning Glory Dr and turn left. The Community House is the 4th building on your left.

 

 

 

Directions From Central Boulder:
1.

Drive south on Broadway (mountains on your right).

2.

Turn right on Baseline and go West (toward mountains, street will start to go uphill).

3.

Turn left onto Grant at Chautauqua Park, Ranger Station will be straight ahead.

4. Drive south on Kinnikinnic to Morning Glory Dr and turn left. The Community House is the 4th building on your left.
