Nov. 18, 2004 — “Good Morning America” and “Bride’s” magazine introduced you to some wonderful couples who wanted nothing more than to declare their love for their lifelong mate in front of the world. When they finally got that chance, live on “GMA,” it was an amazing moment.

One-hundred-twenty-five couples said “I do” all over again during “GMA’s” vow renewal special in New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Those couples — who have been married for a total of 2,409 years and have 277 children between them — stood before members of the clergy and their family members and said they’d marry each other all over again.

The following members of the clergy presided over the amazing ceremony: the Rev. Forrest Church of the All Souls Unitarian Church in New York City, the Rev. Jimmy Allen Thomas, senior pastor of Wesley Union AME Zion Church in Harrisburg, Pa., and Rabbi Jamie Korngold of Boulder, Colo.

While the couples were more than happy with just the opportunity to renew their vows, they knew a few would also win a second honeymoon on the Norwegian Dawn, one of the world’s most luxurious cruise ships.

What they didn’t know was that it was a lucky day for all of them. All 125 couples won a trip on the romantic cruise ship, which features a spa with 15 different treatment rooms and a 24-hour buffet — so the couples can grab a bite whenever they like.

The 965-foot-long ship will spend 11 days cruising through the Caribbean to exotic locales like Antigua and Tortola.

When their big surprise was announced on “GMA,” the 125 couples went wild.
