Why do so many Jewish
Holidays fall on the full moon? Before the invention of electricity,
if you wanted to gather a large group together after dark,
the light of the full moon led the way!
Join
us as we reintroduce ourselves to the ancient Jewish wisdom
surrounding the moon. We will learn about Jewish customs relating
to the moon and recite Kiddush Levanah, the Jewish prayer

Description
of Full Moon Hikes:
After brief introductions, we head off into the night in search
of moon shadows and other glorious sights. In the winter,
we marvel at the moonlight reflecting on the snow, lighting
up the entire woods. In the spring and summer, we notice the
shadows the moon casts of tree branches.
We
hike at a moderate pace by Boulder standards for approximately
2 hours. As we hike up the trail, we have time to chat and
get to know each other. On Adventure Rabbi hikes you will
discover a group of fascinating and inspirational people,
eager to meet new people and explore their Judaism in unique
ways.
Occasionally
during the hike, we take a break to catch our breath and admire
the view. Rabbi Korngold will share some teachings.
