A unique
opportunity to spend a weekend skiing or snowshoeing and learning
with the nationally acclaimed Adventure Rabbi:
- Private guided
skiing of Copper or Vail, Colorado at your level: choose from
the magnificently groomed runs or the steeps of the powder-filled,
back bowls
- During the
chair lift rides and breaks, you will have a private, ongoing
learning session with Rabbi Korngold
- Or, choose
snowshoeing in the pristine backcountry of Summit County. Here
you will find the peace and tranquility that so often eludes us
in our frenetic lives.

Judaism's ancient wilderness roots and the wisdom that the outdoor
holds for us.

Who:
This unique opportunity is available to individuals, families
or small groups up to 4 people. What an amazing way to spend some
special time with your son or daughter, spouse, fiancee, business
partner, or entire family!! Additional fees for larger groups.
Where:
Our spiritual skiing / snowshoeing weekends are based at
Copper Mountain or Vail Mountain in Colorado. Easily accessible
by air or car.
What:
Every weekend is designed to fit your needs and schedule.
You can choose from snowshoeing or skiing or both. Here is a sample
weekend schedule:

Friday night: Join Rabbi Korngold and her family for a
down-to-earth Shabbat dinner, with homemade challah and casual conversation.
This is a chance to get to know each other, so the rabbi can shape
the skiing weekend to meet your needs.
Saturday:
Rabbi Korngold will meet you at your hotel and walk with you to
the lifts to begin your day of guided skiing at beautiful Copper
Mountain, Colorado, or at the base of Vail, Colorado. As an added
bonus, will be joined by her husband Jeff Finkelstein, who previously
worked on ski-patrol at Copper. We will select trails that are appropriate
to your level of skiing, as challenging or simple as you wish. We
will ski at your pace, as much or as little as you want. All along
the way, there will be opportunities to talk about the spirituality
of skiing and discussion about ways to bring the exhilaration and
peace you feel in the mountains back home with you.
There are a
myriad of choices for lunch, from fine dining to grab and go options
Saturday
night: You choose from either a free night on your own
or joining your rabbi-guide for dinner at one of the mountains fun
dining experiences.
Sunday:
Today we strike off into the backcountry to snowshoe. Embraced by
the beauty of the wild mountains, we walk and talk, learning about
the mountains and life. We will explore how Judaism can fit into
your life in a deeper, more meaningful way, as we steer toward pathways
of contentment and peace. Here you have an uninterrupted chance
to ask the questions you've been wanting to ask while exploring
some of the most glorious mountain terrain in the world.
Experts
Skiers: Please note that not many people can out-ski the
Adventure Rabbi, so even if you are an expert skier you will be
in good hands. We have lots of great powder stashes to show you
and can keep you going all day!
Fees:
$5,000 per weekend includes all of the rabbis fees and
expenses, and includes Shabbat dinner and snowshoe rental. (Your
lodging, meals, ski rental, lift tickets, transportation etc. are
not included). For groups greater than four people, please call
