Next Class

OR

Wednesday, October 21, 7:30 to 8:30 MT

As we enter October, with the secular holiday of Halloween let’s sit around the zoom/campfire and share some ghost stories from Jewish tradition. Our adventures camping overnight, and hiking in dangerous situations can get us thinking dark thoughts. So, let’s see how Jewish stories dealt with issues of life after death, fear of the unknown, demons, goblins and ghouls.

RSVP to register and receive the link.

This month’s classes are sponsored by Sam & Betsy Feldman in honor of Susan Feldman, Sam’s Mother, who recently passed away.

May her memory be a blessing.

Please reach out to Rabbi Alan Shavit-Lonstein with questions.

Join Rabbi Alan on a Honeymoon Israel trip to Argentina

Through an immersive trip to Argentina, HMI brings young couples together at a formative moment, creating space to explore Jewish identity and community alongside others asking similar questions. The next trip is set for early November, 2026.

Honeymoon Israel (HMI)  brings couples together at a moment when a lot is unfolding. You’re building a life together, making decisions, asking big questions, and figuring out what matters most.

In Argentina, that comes to life in simple, meaningful ways. Shared dinners that stretch late into the night. Conversations that go deeper than you expected. A group of couples who start out as strangers and, somewhere along the way, begin to feel like your people.

You’ll be with other couples from your city who are in it too. Thinking about how to build a life together, what community looks like, and how Jewish life fits into it all in ways that feel real for you.

And as you explore Argentina, you’ll connect with the vibrant Jewish community there as part of the experience. Through the places you visit and the people you meet, you’ll get a glimpse of a global community and the many ways Jewish identity can take shape.
