The Adventure Rabbi team are honored to officiate at same-sex weddings, commitment ceremonies, and gay weddings, and will use whatever terminology is comfortable for you and your partner.

The ceremony does not differ greatly from other weddings, with language changes as appropriate. For example, in the Sheva Berachot "bridegroom and bride" becomes "re'im ahuvim," loving companions. Same-sex couples may choose between a traditional ceremony and a B'rit Ahuvim. (See Jewish Weddings) The same options concerning interfaith relationships and non-religious ceremonies are available. Commitment Ceremony or Gay Wedding?
Some homosexual couples prefer to have a “commitment ceremony,” rather than a “gay wedding,” to emphasize that in most states, homosexual couples are not granted the same rights of marriage as heterosexual couples.

Other couples prefer to have a “wedding ceremony,” to emphasize that the commitment made by gays and lesbians is equal to the commitment between heterosexuals.

Q: Do you work with interfaith couples?
A: Rabbi Bogage, our interfaith wedding specialist, would be honored to officiate at your interfaith wedding. Couples (and their parents) love his wedding ceremonies, because he is non-judgmental, open minded and inclusive. More>>

Rabbi Korngold will perform interfaith weddings for couples who are part of the Adventure Rabbi community and who meet certain requirements.

Q: How will we get to know the rabbi?
A: The Rabbi meets with you for two or three sessions before your wedding ceremony. We also encourage you to come to Adventure Rabbi Programs. This helps Rabbi Korngold or Rabbi Bogage get to know you and you them.

Q: What if we live out of town or don’t have time for meetings?
A: Many of the Rabbis' clients live out of town and even overseas. You might choose to fly in one extended meeting, or do the work by phone. Sometimes the Rabbi and the couple meet in person for the first time at the wedding, although it always feels like we have known each other for ages. The most important work can be done over the phone, in two sessions.

Q: Do the Rabbis co-officiate with non-Jewish clergy?
A: Rabbi Bogage does co-officiate with non-Jewish clergy and will be glad to work with you to design a wedding in which he can represent your Jewish heritage. More>>

Q: Will the rabbis perform ceremonies on Shabbat?
A: Rabbi Bogage will perform a ceremony on Shabbat at the time of your choosing. Rabbi Korngold will perform a ceremony on Saturday that starts when it "feels" like evening. In Rabbi Korngold's ceremonies, the Ketubah signing can be held at 5:30 p.m. and Huppah Ceremony at 6:00 p.m.

Q: How do I pick which rabbi to hire?
A. Most of our couples select Rabbi Bogage to work with them to create a personalized and unique wedding. He is our wedding specialist and is able to focus deeply on each couple with whom he works. He is known for creating wedding ceremonies that meet the couples needs, rather than intruding with his own menu of what "should" happen. Rabbi Bogage will be happy to chat with you to see if he will be a good fit for your wedding ceremony.

Because of her heavy schedule, Rabbi Korngold tends to work primarily with couples who are involved in the Adventure Rabbi program, but there are always exceptions! She tends to perform the more adventurous weddings, such as those on skis or mountain tops.

Q: What are the Fees?
A: Rabbi Korngold and Rabbi Bogage's wedding ceremony fees represent the time and attention they give to each wedding couple. The Rabbis will spend approximately ten hours preparing for each wedding or 12 hours when Rabbi Bogage co-officiates with another clergy. This includes meetings with the couples, writing a personalized ceremony and officiating at the ceremony. See Fees>>

Q: Where are the Rabbis based?
A: Rabbi Bogage is in Denver Colorado and Rabbi Korngold is in Boulder Colorado.

Q: Will the Rabbis travel out of State or to other Counties?
Rabbi Korngold and Rabbi Bogage are willing to travel outside of Boulder and Denver to perform weddings, although the fees do increase to account for the additional time required to travel.

Q:How does the payment process work?
