In Boulder, take Baseline Road west towards the mountains. Drive past Chautauqua Park on your left. The road’s name changes to Flagstaff Road. Drive (or bike!) 3.4 miles up Flagstaff Road, to Realization Point, then turn right and go 0.5 miles on Flagstaff Summit Road. It takes longer than you would expect to get up there. Click here for a map.
Boulder residents whose cars are registered in Boulder do not need parking permits. If you are not registered in Boulder, there is a $5 parking permit fee. Fee may be paid at self-service stations on the summit of Flagstaff.
Please leave your dogs at home.
If it is raining really hard at 6:00 p.m. we will relocate to the Jaycee Shelter, which is just across the street from the Stone Shelter where we picnic. But please know that it frequently can be raining in town and fine on Flagstaff or a storm can swiftly pass by leaving us able to have our service.
